Ice crystals from the sky, this is a snow storm for the records, I think. Global icing.

Holidays are for toys.

All about paper wasps.

I’ve spent most of my career making commissioned photographs for clients. After all these years if someone asked me, describe your perfect photography showcase, I would say without hesitation, “magazine cover.” I was lucky enough early in my career to have my photographs used on several covers and since I don’t have the opportunity right now to look for this kind of work, I thought I’d produce my own. Starting with the Virginia Moth Review.

Since our book group just read “Lincoln on Leadership” I did a little research on the traits of a leader and thought they were important. This work was done by Raymond Cattell, a pioneer in the field of personality assessment. He developed the Leadership Potential equation in 1954.
“Maturity. To be a good leader, personal power and recognition must be secondary to the development of your employees. In other words, maturity is based on recognizing that more can be accomplished by empowering others than can be by ruling others.”
This was my lucky day.

This ladybug was probably wondering about the material it was crawling through and I was feeling very lucky. I know it isn’t a great photograph but these guys are small and I’ve spent hours chasing them them down and here’s one that landed on me. That’s so lucky. There are thousands of ideas that can spin off of bugs and insects. It eventually left the safety and security of my arm for the danger of the open bike trail.
This is real and it was tart and sweet and very orange like. This entry is going to be about the economy, just to take a look at a slice of it, so if your tired of it or not interested you can stop reading now.
I’m not an economic savant and like almost everyone my economic transactions are purchases, not sales. I have been a seller in the past, just not right now. I’ve been quiet for a couple of months and have taken down many of the posts I’d written and thought I’d re-invent the notes part of this blog.
I’m just wondering if we are asking the same people who caused this mess to fix it by throwing money at them. Would that be a new definition of insane? I’d like to see some serious congressional hearings about how this all happened, not the dog and pony show congress has given us so far. Let’s get serious, we have a lot to learn here about the relationship of the government to the economy and the buyers, the producers and government regulations. We may learn a lesson that will keep this from happening for another 70 years, like they learned the last time.
